Houndmouth The Anthem - D.C. Concert reviews
Bulls At Hampton
Top-notch riding, bulls, and roping from the cowboy and gentlemen there to entertain the crowd made for a great show on Saturday night. Unfortunately, one rider suffered a concussion and a cut above his eye when he contacted his bull's massive head. The bulls were very ornery. The music was entirely too loud. Several people seated around me wearing ear plugs remember previous shows and were bothered by the excessively loud music. It's not the music choice, it's the volume. A vendor this year was selling stuffed bulls and belt buckles, and they walked around the stadium shaking pink cow bells then parked themselves behind us ringing their bells intermittently. I know it sounds like I have a sound sensitivity, but after a while, this is not only distracting but annoying. When we asked them to please move, they gave us a nasty look. The show added columns of smoke this year, which interfered with our view of the riders and, in our opinion, were unnecessary. All in all, we will return next year with ear plugs and hopefully away from the smoke.
